Mondays at Dedworth (MAD) Teaching
Back at the tail end of 2004, Christen Forster started a fortnightly teaching series through Matthew's Gospel for a number of young people who where taking time out to serve the Church. This series was called MAD - Mentoring and Discipleship. As news spread more people wanted to access this resource, and the teaching was opened up to all that could make it. Nearly three years later Matthew was finally finished... but that was not the end of MAD...
MAD has moved venue to the River Church Windsor Hall and now stands for "Mondays At Dedworth". Every fortnight we meet for an hour to work through a book in real depth with an emphasis on how it reveals Jesus and the Father's heart.

Having dismissed "legalism", (the idea that salvation comes by conforming behviour to a set of rules), Paul undermines the more insidious "nomism", the idea that sanctification and holiness is now down to keeping a set of rules, the position held by a lot of Christians! Chapter 2:15-3:14. Paul gives his lays out his proposition and the starts his argument by undermining Legalism. These verses contain some hard to follow ideas, Paul expects his readers to understand and know a lot about Jewish teaching on Abraham and his relationship to the Law..
